Answer: put a half round under the small of back, and can lift neck but dont allow back off the pad and if you cant lift do small version of the toetap not allowing feet all the way to the floor.
Question: Can I use the machine while I am pregnant
Answer: If you have been following the pilates program prior to your pregnancy, you should be able to maintain the program to some degree throughout your pregnancy. Exercise does not increase your risk for miscarriage.
If you are just starting with the pilates program as a way of improving your health during your pregnancy, you should start very slowly and be careful not to over exert yourself.
Listen to your body. Your body will naturally give you signals that it is time to reduce the level of exercise you are performing.
Never exercise to the point of exhaustion or breathlessness. This is a sign that your baby and your body cannot get the oxygen supply they need.
Take frequent breaks, and drink plenty of fluids during exercise.
Avoid exercise in extremely hot weather.
During the second and third trimesters, avoid any movements on the machine or in the pilates program that involves lying flat on your back as this decreases blood flow to your womb.
Include relaxation and stretching before and after your exercise program.
Question: How do I get rid of saddle bags
Answer: Not as difficult as you might think.  Saddle bags are the result of not utilizing a muscle at the base of your buttox.  It’s not about just using it but it’s about learning how to wrap it back.  Sounds confusing but if you follow the program on my blog you will learn how to do this.  In a nutshell stand in front of the mirror and look at your lower body.  Kagul and be sure that you are pulling your perimum up.  Many woman make the mistake of tucking their pelvis under or tightening the buttox muscles, but it’s a more subtle move than that if you do it properly you will see the sides of your buttox pull in.
Question: Does the machine help me improve my coordination for sports.
Answer: Yes, pilates improves one's strength and flexibility. It also reinforces structural alignment and spinal length through a series of dynamic, controlled exercises. Pilates creates tremendous core strength and coordination of the upper and lower body. It also helps you gain muscular and skeletal balance while improving respiration, and posture
Question: What can I do to help with knee problems.
Answer: For people with knee problems, Pilates is beneficial because of its emphasis on strengthening the core and improving the posture. Few Pilates exercises require any strain on knees, while the leg exercises focus on building strength in the hamstrings and quads. Improved strength in these muscles reduces the strain on knee joints.
