One on One Pilates Training

Because Pilates requires such precise and focused movement of many tiny muscles, many clients begin with a series of one-on-one sessions in order to develop the required fundamental skills before moving on to group work. Many of Ellen's pilates clients have chosen to continue for years with this individualized personal training style of workout.

In a one-on-one setting, the series of exercises is tailored to accomplish your specific goals as well as to accommodate any limitations based on injury, weakness, fear or personal preference. In close collaboration with you, Ellen provides an initial evaluation of the criteria that is important to the you & could range from posture, flexibility or strength to body fat, tone and appearance. Ellen then develops a customized plan for achieving your goals, including a scheduled pilates program with joint monitoring of progress and continuous improvement.

Pilates Classes

About the Supreme Pilates Classes:

The Supreme Pilates Classes combine the body sculpting benefits of pilates mat workouts and studio equipment into one simple workout program, one which is offered no where else in the world!!  Using the machine’s “Free Flow Resistance” technology, you will gain muscular strength, improve muscular awareness, kinesthetic ability, postural alignment and flexibility.  Under the guidance of Ellen Croft or professional instructors hand picked and trained by Ellen Croft, you will be led through an integrated and dynamic workout that will target every muscle in your body. The Studio offers classes from beginner to Level III – classes which are designed to consistently teach and reinforce the basic tenets of Pilates. 

Class Descriptions:

Level I: Participant may have no Pilates experience.  In this class you will learn core essentials, proper pelvic flexion, beginning alignment, posture and breathing.  There will be an introduction to the Supreme Pilates machine and beginning choreography.  We recommend all participants take Level I classes to review Pilates principles.

Level II: Participant should have some Pilates experience before taking this class.  More choreography series introduced and balance work introduced.

Nutrition

Guidance on proper use of supplement, and correct diet. Recipes are also made available and exchanged among the groups.

Workshops:

Gait and Posture Intensive

The intention of this class is to provide the tools and knowledge on how to make appropriate changes and adjustments to your body carriage and posture.

Through interactive learning you will become aware of habits that you may have acquired in early childhood when modeling parents, or through repetitive postures such as working behind a desk or long hours standing or maybe a protective posture assumed after an injury, during puberty or after child birth.

Bringing awareness to how you use your body as you go through your daily life is how real change can occur and the change is more profound then spending a couple of hours a week at a gym as it is learned kinesthetically.

This intensive will give you a personalized look at your own posture and gait and provide you with the tools on how to make subtle changes and improvements which will affect your life for years to come.
